Application of pultruded profiles in wind power
Wind power main beam sheets can be formed by pultrusion process, and then formed into composite blade main structure on the mold through vacuum infusion or prepreg process; or directly stacked and bundled into prefabricated bodies on the platform and placed in the corresponding position of the shell, and infused and formed with the shell as a whole. Compared with other processes, pultruded sheet main beam laying technology has the characteristics of high efficiency, small quality fluctuation, and low cost. It can effectively improve the strength and modulus of the product and is a trend in the development of blade main beams in the future.
Overview of the epoxy pultrusion process
1. The reinforcing fibers are pulled out from the creel, and the fiber creel can be connected to the winding mat or fabric creel. The pulling action is controlled by the pulling system.
2. The guide plate collects the fibers into bundles and then guides them into the resin bath.
3. The fibers enter the resin bath and are immersed in liquid resin here. The liquid resin contains thermosetting polymers, fillers, catalysts and other additives.
4. The wet fibers leave the molten pool and enter the preformer, where the excess resin is squeezed out of the fibers to shape the material.
5. The preformed fibers pass through a heated die to determine the final cross-sectional size and resin curing.
6. The cured product is cut into the required length by a cutting tool.

fiber impregnation, added to the pultrusion resin, effectively improves the resin's impregnation effect on carbon fiber, increases the pultrusion speed, and reduces the occurrence of common problems such as dry fiber whitening during pultrusion.

internal mold release agent is commonly used in polyurethane, epoxy, and unsaturated pultrusion. It has excellent mold release properties and hardly affects the bonding or painting performance of the molded product.
