01 PANGEL B5——矿物类增稠剂
PANGEL B5 is a morphologically microfibrous rheological additive obtained by the organic modification of highly refined sepiolite with a high degree of deagglomeration.
PANGEL B5是一种针状纤维状的流变添加剂,是通过对高纯度的海泡石进行有机改性而获得的,具有高度的分散性。

 

PANGEL B5 is specifically designed for use as a thickener in mineral oil based lubricant greases.

02 PANGEL B5——在矿物油中的应用介绍
PANGEL B5 is a product designed as a highly efficient thickener in mineral oil bases. The paraffin oil used in this study had a viscosity of 220 cSt at 40ºC and a high viscosity index.
PANGEL B5是一种专为矿物油基开发的高效增稠剂产品。在实验中,添加到矿物油(在40℃下的运动粘度为220 cSt)中可以得到高粘度指数的润滑脂产品。


The graph shows that consistent greases pertaining to NLGI grades #2 to #2.5 (24h) are obtained with a paraffin mineral oil base with medium-high viscosity (220 cSt at 40 ºC) at dosage levels of 8-10%. When grease was worked at 60 strokes, penetration increased 5-6% to give a grade #2 consistency. A linear increase in viscosity was observed in the dosage levels of PANGEL B5 studied.

The use of PANGEL B5 as a thickening additive for mineral oil bases contributes:

04 PANGEL B5与有机膨润土的比较
The following graph shows a comparison of the thickening effect of PANGEL B5 at dosage levels of 8% and 9%, compared to commercial organophilic bentonites at concentration levels of 8%. The resulting greases have an NLGI #2 consistency.
下图显示了PANGEL B5在8%和9%添加量的增稠效果与8%浓度水平下的商业亲有机膨润土的比较。所得润滑脂具有NLGI#2稠度。

Greases thickened with organobentonites were produced according to the manufacturer’s recommendation, using a 30% by clay weight of a polar activator (methanol:water 95:5).

Studies were made of what effect the introduction of additives with varying chemical compositions commonly used in grease formulation had on the consistency of greases thickened by PANGEL B5. The results are shown in the following graph.
研究在润滑脂配方中引入不同化学成分的添加剂对PANGEL B5增稠润滑脂稠度的影响。结果如下图所示。


A grade #2 consistent grease was prepared with an 8% dosage level of PANGEL B5 and its viscosity and consistency were measured after 24 hours. The amounts recommended by the manufacturer of the additives mentioned in the graph were added to this additive free grease.
用8%添加量的PANGEL B5制备2级稠度润滑脂,并在24小时后测量其粘度和稠度。将图表中提到的添加剂制造商推荐的量添加到这种无添加剂的润滑脂中。

  • It was seen that the additives used did not have a significant effect on PANGEL B5’s thickening capacity. Only the anticorrosion additive (a solid product added in a larger proportion) caused an increase in viscosity and a decrease in the degree of penetration.
