Application of Evonik High White Aluminum Silicate 820A
Sipernat820A is a synthetic sodium aluminum silicate with extremely high whiteness and fine particle size. It has high purity, uniform particle size distribution, easy dispersion and excellent stability. In rubber and adhesives, 820A products are used as functional fillers. Their main function is to reinforce and increase mechanical strength. At the same time, they can increase the consistency and thixotropy of adhesives to improve construction.
Application areas: water-based interior and exterior wall coatings, decorative coatings, industrial primers, satin coatings, textile printing pastes, paper coatings, printing inks, rubber products and other fields.
Advantages of Evonik high white aluminum silicate 820A
● 820A is alkaline (PH10.1): it will not affect the rubber vulcanization reaction.
● Good dispersibility: The surface treated 820A has excellent compatibility with oil (when the customer tested it, they added 820A directly into the oil and stirred it with a glass spoon to completely disperse it). The dispersibility and processing performance of 820A are better than those of silica.
● Improve the hardness of rubber products: For example, if the original hardness of the customer's rubber formula is 40 degrees, the hardness can be increased to 60 degrees after adding 820A, while maintaining the original mechanical properties, and the tensile strength does not decrease, and only the hardness is increased. Ordinary aluminum silicate and silica bath materials can also increase the hardness of rubber, but the mechanical properties are seriously reduced. Due to the high silica content of 820A, the mechanical properties of rubber can be maintained.
