-P 2710 is added to epoxy resins containing hydrophilic pyrogenic silica. The viscosity of the resin can be adjusted by adding the amount. The additive blocks the thixotropic structure of the pyrogenic silica and prevents the viscosity from increasing. The resin maintains a low initial viscosity.
BYK-P 2710 must be used in conjunction with BYK-P 2720 (added to the hardener) to achieve high application viscosities. Only in this combination can high anti-sagging properties be ensured, so that the system can be used on top or vertical surfaces without running.
