Product features and benefits
Adhesion promoter with acidic groups, silicone-free, with strong adhesion, especially to metal substrates, improving adhesion to steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals and even glass.
BYK-4510 reacts with melamine resins and polyisocyanates and is thus incorporated into the polymer matrix. The additive is compatible with most resins and can therefore be used universally.
Depending on the system, the additive improves flexibility without reducing hardness. It further reduces the settling of inorganic pigments and fillers. It has no adverse effects on the storage stability, recoatability and weathering resistance of the coating. The additive is stable even at high baking temperatures (briefly above 280 °C) and does not cause yellowing.
